Depression

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”
David Richo, Psychotherapist

Depression does not does not discriminate against how and why it hits, the consequences can be devastating.

Depression is more than simply feeling unhappy or fed up for a few days, something we can all relate. Depression is a persistent feeling of overwhelming sadness over an extended period; this is a real illness with debilitating symptoms. Depression is not a sign of weakness but a condition that requires the right treatment and support to make a full recovery.

Depression can be a risk factor for suicide. The deeper the despair and hopelessness the more suicide seems like the only option to escape the pain and despair.
